film is the function of something that has happened for real or something that has been faked trough actions but both contain waves that helps us define what it is. We would not see that this was a video without moving objects. And we would not see moving objects if there was no difference between the different pictures. The waves define the contrast between the pictures and makes us able to experience this content as a video.
